The IOA has been operating a booth in the Olympic Village since the 14thof August offering the possibility to young athletes participating in the Games to learn through interactive educational activities about the history of the Olympic Games from Antiquity till the modern Olympic Games using the latest technology. Knowledge games and rich informative material in the form of videos regarding the modern Olympic Movement and Olympism as a philosophy of life form the activities that visitors experience at the booth.
It is the third time that the IOA has taken part in the educational programme of the Youth Olympic Games, following the 2010 Singapore Games and the 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games held in Innsbruck in 2012.
