The 26th International Seminar on Olympic Studies for Postgraduate Students that is organized by the International Olympic Academy in its premises in Ancient Olympia begun yesterday, Wednesday May 8, with the arrivals of the participants and will be concluded on May 30.

The topic of the Seminar is “The Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement: Past, Present and Future – An Analysis from the Historical, Philosophical and Social Perspectives”, while the special topic is: “Olympic Diplomacy and Peace”. The works of the Seminar will attend 25 people from 18 countries.

Nine supervising professors will participate in the Seminar and the IOA Honorary Dean, Prof. Konstantinos Georgiadis, will have the overall coordination. The programme includes visits to the archaeological sites of Acropolis, Epidaurus, Nemea and Delphi.
