On Thursday, September 19th, 2019 begins at the IOA premises in Ancient Olympia the Master’s Degree programme on “Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organisation and Management of Olympic Events” that the IOA organizes in cooperation with the University of Peloponnese.

The IOA President, Isidoros Kouvelos, will declare the opening of the works of the one of a kind and highly successful Programme which completes 10 years of works.

The IOA Master’s Degree Programme is fully sponsored by M/MARITIME who recognizes the important role that Olympic Education can play towards the creation of a better world and therefore supports activities aiming at the cultivation, development and propagation of Olympic Education.

Apart from sponsoring the Master’s Degree Programme, M/MARITIME also sponsored the complete upgrade of the internationally recognized interactive educational programme of the IOA that was presented to the public during the 2019 DAVIS CUP at TATOI Club. The internationally recognized elite tennis player, Stefanos Tsitsipas and the Japanese ambassador in Greece, Mr Yasuhiro Shimizu visited the IOA booth.

The IOA programme was presented to the Japanese Ambassador Mr Shimuzu in the Japanese language, which was added to the programme in view of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The programme is now available in 4 languages (English, French, Spanish, Japanese) and those interested have the opportunity to explore the world of the Olympic Movement through innovative games, quizzes and interesting videos.

Regarding the Master’s Degree Programme, it will last until November and then it will continue in the spring of 2020, always at the IOA premises in Ancient Olympia.
