The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Prokopis Pavlopoulos, will honour with his presence the Opening Ceremony of the 55th International Session for Young Participants that is organized annually by the International Olympic Academy and will take place on May 24 on the Hill of the Pnyx.
The President of the Hellenic Republic confirmed his presence to the IOA President, Mr Isidoros Kouvelos, who visited him at the Presidential Residence together with the IOA director, Mr Dionissis Gangas.
Mr Kouvelos also presented to the President of the Hellenic Republic the work of the International Olympic Academy and its role in the Olympic Movement.
Ιn his turn, Mr Pavlopoulos underlined that he is aware of the work of the IOA and congratulated the IOA President on the IOA’s contribution to the greatest projection of the country abroad and committed himself that on the first occasion he will visit the premises in Ancient Olympia.

President: Thank you for the opportunity you are offering me. Because it is important to highlight particular principles and values that this place and the world need more.
Is. Kouvelos: And the Academy has these values that were born in Greece and it is our pleasure and honour that you will honour us with your presence at the Opening Ceremony.
