The IOA 63rd International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors begins on the Hill of Pnyx
Her Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou, will declare the opening of the works of the 63rd International Session for young Olympic Ambassadors of the International Olympic Academy this Sunday afternoon (19:00), on June 11th, 2023, on the Hill of Pnyx.
The main topic of this year’s session is: “Innovating physical education and Olympic values education to build a better world” and the special topic is: "Renewal and rejuvenation: How can the Olympic Movement remain relevant to youth through physical education and Olympic values education", topics which will be debated and analyzed in depth during the works in Ancient Olympia.
The President of the International Olympic Academy Mr Isidoros Kouvelos, will welcome the Young Ambassadors, while the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and IOC Member, Mr Spyros Capralos, will address the message on behalf of the IOC President, Thomas Bach. The HOC Vice President, Mr Stelios Aggeloudis will also deliver a welcome message.
The "Olympia" Honorary Distinction of the International Olympic Academy, will be awarded to Ms Marianna Latsis, and the "Athena" Honorary Distinction to the National Olympic Academy of Argentina.
Τhis year, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the most popular soprano of the lyric theater, the Greek Maria Callas, the musical part of the Event will include arias which were performed by the leading soprano, interpreted by the world acclaimed coloratura soprano Ms Christina Poulitsi, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of ERT, under the musical direction of Mr Michalis Economou. The artistic director of the event is Mr Stelios Konstantinidis.
130 young delegates nominated by their respected NOCs/NOAs from around the globe, together with 18 coordinators, will travel the next day in Ancient Olympia in order to participate in the Session which will end on June 22, 2023, while during its works, 9 eminent personalities will address a lecture on the special topic.

La Session des jeunes ambassadeurs olympiques s’ouvrira sur la colline de la Pnyx
La Présidente de la République Hellénique, Mme Katerina Sakellaropoulou, annoncera le dimanche 11 juin 2023, à 19 heures sur la colline de la Pnyx, l'ouverture des travaux de la 63e Session internationale de l’Académie Internationale Olympique pour les jeunes ambassadeurs olympiques.
Le thème principal de cette édition est : « Innover avec l'éducation physique et l'éducation aux valeurs olympiques pour construire un monde meilleur » avec un thème spécial consacré au sujet : « Renouveau et revitalisation : comment le Mouvement olympique peut rester en lien avec la jeunesse à travers l'éducation physique et l'éducation des valeurs olympiques », thèmes qui seront abordés, débattus et analysés en profondeur au cours des travaux qui se dérouleront à Olympie.
Les jeunes ambassadeurs venus du monde entier seront accueillis par le président de de l'Académie Internationale Olympique, Isidoros Kouvelos, tandis que le président du Comité Olympique Hellénique et membre du CIO, Spyros Capralos, transmettra le message du président du CIO, Thomas Bach, et le vice-président du COH, Stelios Angeloudis, adressera au nom du Comité Olympique Hellénique un message d'accueil.
La distinction honorifique "Olympia", de l'Académie Internationale Olympique, sera décernée à Mme Marianna Latsi, et la distinction honorifique "Athena", à l'Académie Nationale Olympique d'Argentine.
Lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture sur la colline de la Pnyx, l’IOA rendra hommage à Maria Kallas. Ainsi, la soprano Christina Poulitsi interprétera des arias rendues célèbres par l’immense soprano grecque, accompagnée par l'Orchestre symphonique national de ERT, sous la direction du chef d’orchestre Michalis Oikonomou. Le directeur artistique de l'événement est Stelios Konstantinidis.
130 personnes participeront à cette 63e édition de la session internationale qui prendra fin le 22 juin 2023, tandis qu’elle sera animée par 18 modérateurs et 9 intervenants.

Η Σύνοδος για τους Νέους Ολυμπιακούς Πρεσβευτές ξεκινά από την Πνύκα
Η Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας κα Κατερίνα Σακελλαροπούλου θα κηρύξει την Κυριακή 11 Ιουνίου 2023, στις 19:00 στο λόφο της Πνύκας, την έναρξη των εργασιών της 63ης Διεθνούς Συνόδου της ΔΟΑ για Νέους Ολυμπιακούς Πρεσβευτές.
Το βασικό θέμα της Συνόδου είναι: «Καινοτομώντας στη φυσική αγωγή και στην εκπαίδευση Ολυμπιακών αξιών για να δημιουργήσουμε έναν καλύτερο κόσμο» με ειδικό θέμα: «Ανανέωση και αναζωογόνηση: Πώς μπορεί το Ολυμπιακό Κίνημα να παραμείνει συνδεδεμένο με τη νεολαία μέσω της φυσικής αγωγής και της εκπαίδευσης των Ολυμπιακών αξιών», τα οποία θα συζητηθούν και θα αναλυθούν διεξοδικά στις εργασίες που θα γίνουν στην Αρχαία Ολυμπία.
Τους νέους πρεσβευτές από όλο τον κόσμο, θα καλωσορίσει ο Πρόεδρος της ΔΟΑ Ισίδωρος Κούβελος, ενώ χαιρετισμό θα απευθύνουν, ο Πρόεδρος της ΕΟΕ και μέλος της ΔΟΕ Σπύρος Καπράλος που θα μεταφέρει το μήνυμα του Προέδρου της ΔΟΕ Τόμας Μπάχ και ο Αντιπρόεδρος της ΕΟΕ Στέλιος Αγγελούδης.
Η απονομή της τιμητικής διάκρισης «Ολυμπία», της Διεθνούς Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας θα γίνει στην κυρία Μαριάννα Λάτση και η απονομή της τιμητικής διάκρισης «Αθηνά», στην Εθνική Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία της Αργεντινής.
Kατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης, η ΔΟΑ θα τιμήσει την Μαρία Κάλλας και η σοπράνο Χριστίνα Πουλίτση θα ερμηνεύσει άριες που ανέδειξε η μεγάλη Ελληνίδα υψίφωνος, με τη συνοδεία της Εθνικής Συμφωνικής Ορχήστρας της ΕΡΤ, υπό τη διεύθυνση του αρχιμουσικού Μιχάλη Οικονόμου. Την καλλιτεχνική επιμέλεια της εκδήλωσης θα έχει ο Στέλιος Κωνσταντινίδης.
Στη Σύνοδο που θα διαρκέσει ως τις 22 Ιουνίου, θα πάρουν μέρος 130 νεαρά άτομα από Εθνικές Ολυμπιακές Ακαδημίες και Επιτροπές όλου του κόσμου, ενώ θα υπάρχουν και 18 συντονιστές και 9 ομιλητές.
