Marking the beginning of the educational program on Olympic Studies in Bahrain
The IOA President Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos met in Bahrain with the Secretary General of the Olympic Committee and Vice President of the National Olympic Academy, Mr Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji within the framework of the agreement to launch the Olympic Studies Diploma Program, which has been drafted and organized by the IOA, for the Secretary Generals and officials of sports organizations in Bahrain.
The courses of the program, as agreed, will start next January and will last 8 weeks until the end of June 2024.
During this meeting, Mr. Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji expressed the wish to promote a corresponding Olympic education program in the Curricula of the State Secondary Education program, a proposal which will be discussed in a relevant meeting with the relevant Minister of Education of Bahrain, within the first months of 2024.
Finally, it was agreed between the parties the IOA to host 40 young students at its premises in Ancient Olympia on dates to be decided in due time.

Ο Πρόεδρος της ΔΟΑ κ. Ισίδωρος Κούβελος συναντήθηκε στο Μπαχραίην με τον ΓΓ της Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής και Αντιπρόεδρο της Εθνικής Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας της χώρας, Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji στο πλαίσιο της συμφωνίας έναρξης του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος Ολυμπιακών Σπουδών, που σχεδίασε και θα οργανώσει η ΔΟΑ για τα στελέχη του αθλητισμού στην χώρα αυτή!Τα μαθήματα του προγράμματος, όπως συμφωνήθηκε, θα ξεκινήσουν τον προσεχή Ιανουάριο και θα διαρκέσουν 8 εβδομάδες μέχρι το τέλος Ιουνίου 2024. Κατά την διάρκεια συνάντησης αυτής, εκφράστηκε η επιθυμία προώθησης αντίστοιχων προγραμμάτων Ολυμπιακής εκπαίδευσης και στον χώρο της Μέσης Εκπαίδευσης και διατυπώθηκε από τον Αντιπρόεδρο της Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας του Μπαχραίην πρόταση για σχετική συνάντηση με τον αρμόδιο Υπουργό Παιδείας του Μπαχραίην, μέσα στους πρώτους μήνες του 2024. Τέλος συμφωνήθηκε μεταξύ των μερών η φιλοξενία στις εγκαταστάσεις της ΔΟΑ στην Αρχαία Ολυμπία, 40 νεαρών μαθητών σε ημερομηνίες που θα αποφασιστούν από κοινού.
