1. INTRODUCTION

The following report  has the purpose to inform Angola Olympic Academy members (A.O.A) and other colleagues of the activities organized between 1^st of January to 30^th of June 2023, at national and  international level in accordance with activities planned annually.

2. DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Regarding the research dissemination of Olympism, in different dimensions, as well training of sport leaders, Angola Olympic Academy (AOA) organized the activities below:

3. NATIONAL ACTIVITIES

ACTIVITIES IN COMMEMORATIONS OF 44^th ANGOLA OLYMPIC COMMITTEE ANNIVERSARY

• Angola NOC celebrated its 44^th anniversary on 17^th of February 2023 and Angola Olympic Academy organized 3 lectures below:

• The 1^st theme was “Olympic Spirit promoted by Pierre de Courbertin, the Formation of Human Being through Sport”, it was presented by Mr. Tiago Nunes Viegas, President of Portugal Olympic Academy, it was organized on 16th of February of 2023, at 4:30, in amphitheater of Angola Basketball Federation and were present of Angola NOA and NOC members.

• The 2^nd theme was “History of Angola Olympic Committee” . It was presented by Mrs. Sara Tavares, Angola Olympic Academy President, it was organized on 16th de February de 2023, at 10:30 and there were present almost 90 students of the school number 2070 in Kwanza Sul province.

‍

• The 3rd theme was: “Support for Sport and Financial Management in Sport Associations” it was presented by Dr, Cardoso José, former president of Angola youth and Sport support fund, it was organized on 7th of July 2023, at 5:00 p.m, in Angola Handball Federation amphitheater and there were present Angola Olympic Committee President, Mr. Gustavo Dias Vaz da Conceição, Angola NOA President Mrs. Sara Tavares and members of national associations and federations.

• As part of commemorations of 44^th anniversary of Angola Olympic Committee, Angola Olympic Academy in order to improve and share the experiences among the African portuguese speaking academies, with support of Angola NOC, it organized the meeting of proclamation of the Association of African Speaking National Olympic Academies, in Luanda – Angola, on the 17^th of February 2023, in Angola Sport Gallery and there were present the Presidents of Portugal Olympic Academy, Mr. Tiago Nunes Viegas, as the guest of honor, Mr. Tiago Oncorés, Guíne Bissau Olympic Academy President, Mr. Orlando Mascarenhas, Cabo Verde Olympic Academy President and Mr. Alberto Graziano, São Tomé and Principe Olympic Academy President, there were also members of Angola Olympic Academy members and guests.

• As part of commemorations of Olympic Day 2023, we organized a 3 km marathon in Benguela province on the 1st of July 2023, with participation of 130 participants.

4. Sport Administration Courses (CAD)

Angola Olympic Academy organized 3 sports Administration courses: two  in Luanda and one in Namibe province, please see the table below.

5. MEETINGS

‍

Within the scope of periodic meetings of Angola Olympic Academy in accordance with programme and in order to improve the planning and execution of the activities of AOA, making them more inclusive to all members, the following decisions were taken:

1. Update the activity and expenditure plan for 2023,
2. Organize activities in commemorations of 44^th Angola NOC anniversary,
3. Organize activities in commemorations of 26^th Angola NOA anniversary,
4. Organize activities in commemorations of Olympic Day,
5. Indicate the members that will attend the international activities,
6. Contact through a information letter to the Sport and Youth department in provinces who have shown interest to organize Sport Administration Courses,
7. Host the meeting for the proclamation of Association of African Portuguese Speaking National Olympic Academies,
8. Pay the affiliation fees to international Association academies,
9. Take the first steps in collaboration with the local Universities to spread the Olympic Movement ideals,
10. Work with the media for greater dissemination of Olympism through contests in younger people,
11. Develop contests to attract new members (students and teachers in  education areas)

7. OTHER ACTIVITIES

• We participated in the meeting held by Angola Olympic Committee, during the visit of São Tomé e Principe Sport Minister in Luanda,
• We Exchange correspondence with various bodies and organizations about olympism locally,
• We indicated six lecturers to participate in training course of Clube Desportivo da Terra Nova, in march,
• We organized a contest about olympic, to physical education teachers at national level bearing in mind our participation in the 14^th Physical Education Session for Teachers in Olimpia

11. OUTLOOK

‍

Angola Olympic Committee will continue to disseminate the Olympic Ideals throughout the country, specially among young people, stablishing the link between the Olympic Movement and society, organize, sessions, lectures, seminars, training staff and giving opinions on matters of Olympism, whenever requested within the framework of the Olympic Movement.
