Based on the Olympic Charter and the principles of the National Olympic Committee of the Central African Republic, the National Olympic Academy has once again launched activities to promote and raise awareness of the Olympic values.The Academy has taken advantage of two major events at national level to promote and raise awareness of the Olympic philosophy among the world: the Teaching Week from 12th to 19th February and the World Sports Day for Development and Peace, on 6th April.During the Teaching Week an action was taken to present the Olympic values in the schools of the capital. It was eventually held in two schools, Martyrs and Miskine.On the World Sports Day for Development and Peace, the Academy joined forces with the United Nations Educational Programme in the country to promote the message of peace based on the Olympic values.In addition to local events, the National Olympic Academy has been involved in regional and international activities. At regional level, it participated in the Seminar of the National Olympic Academies of Central Africa and at international level, at the 15th International Session for Presidents or Directors of National Olympic Academies of the IOA in Ancient Olympia and at the 1st NOCs Culture and Education Champions General Assembly under the auspices of the IOC. In the margins of this event, the Academy also participated in the General Assembly of the Union of French-speaking Olympic Academies.
