The Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of Mali is developing its actions to protect and promote the Olympic movement in line with the Olympic Charter. The National Olympic Academy operates in this context and, following the vision of the International Olympic Academy, discovers and strengthens the contribution of Olympism to humanity, through the promotion of Olympic values.The President of the Academy is Keita Aminata Maiga, First Lady of Mali, Vice-President of the Union of French-speaking Olympic Academies and Vice-President of the Union of African National Olympic Academies.During the four-year period 2017-2020, the Academy hosted the General Assembly of the African National Olympic Academies in Bamako on 12-15 March 2020 and participated in the IOA Sessions.In the two years 2017-2018, primary and secondary schools across the country participated in the Olympic Values Education Programme.On 4 May 2018, a competition entitle "Expression through Olympic values" was organized at the Sainte Thérèse School on Poetry, Painting and Public Speech, attended by members of the Academy, the Ministers of Education and Sports and Youth, and directors of the Bamako educational academies.
